I've been going to Happy Days since Paul was in grade 5 or 6. I used to work with his dad, Maurice, or Mo, at Dominion Marine, on Dominion and Tecumseh Rd. At that time, all the boats were wood; we had to work our rear ends off sanding. When I started working with Mo, everything was done by hand. It was a lot of fun. I think I worked part time for a year for nothing with Paul's dad - just so I could get a boat! I was working at Chrysler and on the weekends I'd work (at Dominion). I really wanted this one boat, so Mo said to me, "Okay, you do this much work, and the boat's yours."
You'll never find a better person to work with than Paul. He will bend over backwards to serve his customer. He got it from his dad. It's more than just a business, you know... (the family) and I used to go boating together. Like I said, I've known Paul since he was a kid. Every night he'd come in, do his homework, then he'd come down and we'd work together with his dad, who taught us how to tune up engines, how to replace a board.
It's a wonderful business, an incredible family.

I've been dealing with them for ten to fifteen years. I've bought multiple boats from them. They've got a fantastic family atmosphere there, and they've been really good to me. You really get to know the people who work there. I go there sometimes not because I need anything, but just to talk to them. At the beginning I didn't know how to boat - I was just so interested in boating. Paul and Jay and Chris took me under their wing, and would take me out once in a while. They taught me everything, and even involved my kids.
They go above and beyond. What a great family; really knowledgeable boaters. I've been (out on the water) with them sometimes, and there'd be other boaters you could tell needed help. They go out of their way to help total strangers. They really love what they do, and they're so good at it.

Here's a story for you: over Labour Day weekend, on a Monday, our boat broke down over at Crystal Bay. We called them - at home - and they put a boat in the water and put a new starter on the motor, right on the bay. On a holiday!
Their customer service is second to none. We just bought a bigger boat from them. Whatever he sells, we buy. It's (Happy Days) we choose to deal with, not necessarily the brand of the boat. Whenever we do have a problem, I don't have to take it down to them, they came down on their own to wherever we are and the problem's fixed right there. Everything's been absolutely amazing with them. We plan on staying with them.
